HI Steve, thanks for telling me that. I called the ARA yesterday and told them. I will also let them know they are out there at night.

The gal told me that they are certainly not allowed on those parts at all. She said the only way to enforce it is to catch them. With what you said, maybe now they can. And yes, people do ride (horses) at night. I know Dawn has been on that switchback at night in the Dark by herself!

Thanks for the heads up. Cira is pretty used to everything and she's pretty solid. I know what you mean about the runners though. We ran into one first time I was riding the Overlook with Char. This older fella, nice guy, had on really LOUD colored running shorts! He was in his 60's and good shape too. But her horse (a youngster who was afraid of many things) was a little alarmed. She got him by (was just past No Hands on that narrow single track prior to Training Hill...yikes!)

She politely asked him to talk so the horse would know he's a human. It worked. We got by. Then, that same day we ran into (by accident) that bicycle race! That was interesting! Cira used to try to bite them but now she likes them. Chars horse did well and got used to them that day.

Anyway, I'm only afraid of Bears only because I have no idea what my horse will do. We've run into a Mt. lion here so I know what she'll do. People, kids, she's been attacked by a dog and bit, but she's kept her head. She's a good at teaching bravery as well.

Anyway, so when we gonna ride? I talked with Vicki today. She's gonna maybe ride with me from Drivers Flat to the river crossing. I wanted to see if it's crossable right now.

Anyway, have a good day.

Bikes are usually in the off limits trails in the evenings
they use the latest high powered head lights

They ride at night due to they think there is not going to be any horses on
the trails.

I met a guy on a Mt.Bike and and he asked he did not think there would be
any horses out on the trails in the night, I had to remind him this is
endurance Rider Country and I train for 100's all times of the night and
early a.m. hours

What's a little more scary the bikes is trail runners they are a lot more
quiet and surprise you, and so is the army play guys in camouflage uniforms,
Bears, deer and Mt Lion

This area around the Auburn trails is for sure a Heads up area,

On the Narrow sections learn to ride with you're foot lightly in the off
side stirrup
