[RC] RC:Pastures to pens - L ginI have roughly the same thing--only there is 1/2 grass, 1/2 the acerage. Live in Ga. And, I have 4 horses and a donkey. Had to put up a turnout, while I am barn builidng, refencing. I bought RAMM fencing, electric Braid. It has 1680 lb breaking strength, comes on reels about 5/8 thick. If the horses hit it they BONG off it, sort of like a rubber band.I ran 4 strands. You can put it up with 2 people. Best of all you can use mature trees as corners and others as in line and it can follow terrain changes. You can set the poles up to 30-50 feet apart on the level, add a low impedence charger and you are set. You can move it around, add more too it ,etc. I do recommend you get the Premeir Twisty metal connecters for splicing the rope. They work great. If you make a rectangle, they can get more exercise. Mine is probaly 350 feet long by 100?
