good luck with your hip.
I got a quad for Christmas. Hubby figures it will help me move snow, hay, 
fence posts, manure.Yup he bought me a whole lotta work...lol

I am thinking a gift exchange would be good.
I could trade tack for stuff I could give as gifts for my non horsey family. 
Kind of like regifting but they would not know because I would be regifting 
other peoples gifts.
