RE: [RC] Fw: AQHA Action Alert SB311 - Kristen A Fisher

Title: AQHA Action Alert - Senate Bill 311

I would agree. The following statement could have definite ramifications for endurance competition where the majority of pulls are for lameness:

`(1) The Secretary may detain for examination, testing, or the taking of evidence--

`(A) any horse at any horse show, horse exhibition, or horse sale or auction that is sore or that the Secretary has probable cause to believe is sore; and

Also, the fact that this legislation is going to the Senate floor for a vote is not subjective – it is fact.

I'm not so sure I agree with you that this subject is OT for endurance.  It looks like it could have far-reaching effects when it comes to shipping a horse from seller to buyer.
