[RC] girth galls - Kathleen A. Crothers

I used to get some girth rubs and irritation with my short coupled big bellied
arab no matter what saddle I used on him. I mostly use a Bob Marshall sport
saddle. I switched to an x girth, (old OF girth) and it has two connected
neoprene straps one that goes to the front girth ring and one to the back. You
can see it on the website for stablegear tack www.ciwtrailers.com It works
better than any girth I've used on him. I still use desitine or A & D ointment
on his elbows and girth area though. I did a two day ride on him in hilly
rough terrain last weekend and no girth rubs. The girth also works on my thick
withered horse to keep the saddle from slipping as bad. Happy Trails, Kathy
Crothers
