That's so funny - the Parellis don't do helmets!  But you will see a lot of 
helmets at our playdays.  We're not fools.

I went horse hunting with one of my buds that I met thru the Parelli club 
yesterday.  She rode my mare for a weekend and decided she wanted to get an 
endurance prospect as her next project.  She was somewhat embarrassed to 
bring out her carrot stick and rope halter.  This Arab mare has been trained 
in Natural Horsemanship, but travels totally head high and inverted, so my 
friend wisely passed on her.  She says she was almost embarrassed that she 
went to "Mecca" this last summer!  Just didn't want to be labelled 
"Parelli-ite."

Someone else at our barn was also trashing Parelli with the President of our 
club, who took it all with amusement, and ended up telling her that she's 
the Prez.  There are many of us in the club who see beyond the box.  It also 
amuses me a lot when this same person who trashed Parelli and claims she's 
an endurance expert can't get her horse over a little stream or over a log 
without a lot of drama.

The last club meeting one of the members went to a Ray Hunt clinic sponsered 
by Nancy Elliott, and she proceeded to tell everyone that her horse was sooo 
superior than those crazy endurance Arabs that were there.  To tell you the 
truth, I would be bored stiff playing with HER horse, would take a crazy 
Arab any day to a pokey QH.  (Not breed bashing -- emphasis on "pokey" not 
QH - I know there are good QH's out there.)  There's quite a few people in 
the group that get quite intimidated with how quickly  and how little it 
takes to make an Arab reacts to things.  Even the Parelli instructor!
