Re: [RC] Skymont - missing horse - Angie FuraAs of 2:30pm-ish central today, the horse had not been found. She went missing from her metal paddock sometime in the night. Two of the panels were separated. Perhaps the horse caught her head underneath, lifted them, and created an opening? Someone reported hoof beats near the vet check around 1:30 am. There were no fresh tracks, no signs of any kind. It seems as if she vanished into thin air.
Jean, the horse's owner, is still at basecamp working with the locals and police to find her horse. Ride management, the Boy Scouts (who own the camp), the community, and the police have all been passionately at work trying to find the missing horse.
Please keep Jean and her mare in your thoughts.
BTW - the mare's name is Tara. She is a chestnut Arabian with a white star, strip, snip and two rear white stockings. She did not have a halter on, but she was wearing a bright purple blanket with black trim.
