Re: [RC] Report on Spook Run 100 - rides2farJody just called again and they are passed the 40 mile mark. As far as she knows no one has been pulled yet. The weather is staying cool....1:00 and they're still wearing rump rugs. So far so good... Jody & Joni Buttram were rubbing it in that they're starting the Spook Run 100 in Indiana and I'm at home. >g< Figured so long as her battery holds out we can do a little remote reporting. 16 started. They had somewhere around 7 inches of rain up there this week but Jody said the trails aren't in bad shape at all. It had been so dry it just sucked it up. They have a 30% chance of rain today. Said at 4:30 AM when she fed there was a big 100 miler's moon and clear sky but when they started it was overcast with a bit of a mist. She called again as they were nearing the end of their first 20 mile loop. Said the trail looks good, didn't see anyone having any trouble. Said there were several doing their first 100 (yeah!!). Only name she knew to tell me was the farrier...____Keith, is farrier at BSF sometimes. Jody's riding her big Paint/Arab, Rose and Joni is on Cash Pony...the little terror. Joel's not exactly the type you could convince to round up news and pass it on, but I'll relay anything they send in.
