[RC] Great news for Akhal-Teke fans - Lynn White

For anyone that has been following this.

Geldy Kyarizov, a political prisoner in Turkmenistan
since January of 2002 was released from prison a
couple days ago. He has been restored to his family
and his horses. Thanks to everyone that helped, most
of his heard managed to survive starvation. Geldy
almost died several times from starvation, torture, a
heart attack, and a stroke. It has been unbelievably
difficult for him and his family. It's a miracle that
he is still alive. Geldy probably knows more about AT
lines than anyone on earth, and there is likely nobody
with Geldy's knowlege and passion for this breed.
Now he can surround himself with his horses and the
people that he loves. The human spirit never ceases
to amaze me at times.

Don't know about many of you, but I am thrilled at
this news.

-Lynn
