[RC] Respectfully, it's "Cream of the Crop" - Anne Heilgeist

You are both wrong.    It is "cream of the crop."
But, according to this, Leonard CAN say "cream of the cream" 
    The superlative or most preferable part of something: best, choice, crème de la crème, elite, flower, pick, prize, top. Idioms: cream of the crop, flower of the flock, pick of the bunchcrop. See better/worse.
And, to pick up on another post, YES, Leonard must journey stateside and give a talk.
