[RC] Man Against Horse - MarineraFor those not aware of this annual event in Arizona, it is pretty wild. So ridecamp's Dr. Quackenbush (AERC Director Bruce Weary) sent the lovely Dayna off to show the runners a thing or two on a 50 mile course. In spite of vet holds for the horses with no holds for the runners. Dayna managed to knock almost an hour off of last year's winning time to be the first across the finish line in 6:15.Then to further show her tremendous horsewomanship, Dayna startled the press and the crowd at the finish by parting company with her good horse Crickett who zigged to the water trough while Dayna zagged to the feet of the appreciative and cheering crowd. Then to top it all off, Dayna's dear friend, Linda Morelli, who rode with her most of the day, was just a few lengths behind her at the finish and won the Best Condition Award. The video is great.
