Re: [RC] Abercrombie Triple T and the Sharon Saare - Barbara McCrary

Just as a matter of interest, Sharon Saare has been making her saddles since about 1972. We bought one of her first saddles back then. We have two of them now. They seem to fit a variety of back shapes.

Mac Abercrombie was on the GAHR. Who stole

I hate the word "stole" either way...the two saddles are not identical and immitation *is* the sincerest form of flattery! My junior that I sponsored for years (and still lives 2 doors down) owns a Triple T. I never liked the looks of that open airway down the middle of the seat like a McClellan, but she said it never bothered her. I don't think I ever got on it...liked that little hoof pick pouch though. :-) We didn't have any Saares to compare it to, but the tree seemed to have more flair and didn't dig into the horse's shoulders like the Double R did. Other than hers I haven't seen one around in a long time.

Seems to me that the OF tree under the panels looks wide. Has anybody
ever removed their panels and just ridden the tree?

Angie
