[RC] BC judging criteria/question - heidi larson

When vets are evaluating galls/wounds/tack and at every
check you receive an A and a comment that there are
zero/none, what do you think the BC scoresheet would give
you? Zero being the worst and ten being the best. I've
been to a few rides where I've received as low as a 6 or 7
and there are no tack problems, wounds, forging issues,
nada and even recently had two 8's on BC judging forms
(once again, not a mark and commented on by the vet.) How
exactly does is criteria scored? Does anyone know? I'd
really like to see an article in Endurance News on BC
judging, how vets try to remain consistant not only through
each ride, but across the board as vets in this sport.
(Meaning do all vets score similarily as compared with each
other?)
