[RC] [RC] using a breastcollar when you don't *need* it? - sherman

I figure I always need it, even on flat ground, just to be safe…sort of like a helmet which I don’t unless I’m going to get dumped, but since I don’t know when that will happen I always need my helmet.  My friend didn’t think he needed a breast collar for his horse until came up a small hill at the end of a long ride, the saddle slipped back onto the loins, horse took off bucking, saddle rolled under belly. Fortunately, there were no injuries to either the horse or rider. It’s a good piece of safety equipment, IMHO.
