I fell off a horse at a dead run in 2001
(day before 9/11) WITH my helmet on. I was blacked out for over an hour. The
ambulance came down the trail to get me, took me to the hospital and I don’t
remember any of it. I woke up in ER. The helmet was trashed. But, I’m alive!

You only need to see someone hit their head once
while coming off a horse to never want to ride without a helmet ! I saw a lady
with a helmet go over on her kid's horse. The helmet saved her life,
period.
- Heidi Helly, who really would prefer good hair to helmet hair, but
prefers life to vegetation !
