[RC] Fwd: Please forward this message - John Teeter--------------------------------- Message---------------------------------- Hello Ridecamp! I just got the final Forest Service Report re: the fire that caused the cancellation of the Sept. 8 & 9th Patriots Day Ride in northeastern CA--65,000 acres burned!! It is now 100% contained and firefighters are mopping up. This ride, which many in the West Region looked forward to, is a fundraiser for the Greenville Rotary and U.S. veteran causes. The ride was ready to go--trails were marked and volunteers lined up. A lot of work was done. I would like to suggest that all of those who were planning to go to this ride (and anyone else reading this who is interested) make a DONATION of at least $25 to the Greenville Rotary (less than 30% of a day's ride fee). Let's show the people in this small, forest town that we endurance riders and AERC members CARE! And, appreciate all that they do. (Anyone who has done this ride knows that the volunteers are great!)
