[RC] Clarification - Ranelle Rubin

Ridecampers,

Jim Holland has asked me to clear up a statement I made that he feels was incorrect. I stated that he had given Bruce permission to post his email to Ridecamp. These are the last two sentences of the email to which I was referring:

"Be prepared...in Marine vernacular...I will "have your ass" if you don't get
with the program. Bring it on....

You are welcome to post this to Ridecamp as well. "

My error:

I was out riding Sunday am, and did not read the earlier post that caused Jim to be so upset about Bruce posting a private email.

Personally, I read every email before I hit send and determine the impact it will have on ANYONE who reads it. I feel we should all have conversations that could be repeated by the "town parrot".

I can see both sides to this particular issue about the posting of a private email. It appears on the outside that these two need to go do a 100 mile ride side by side on a dirt road..:) "JK"

My issue personally still is the issue of public ridicule for having your horse treated at a ride, as there is absolutely no excuse for that.

I still believe in Bruce Weary, still respect him, still consider him a friend, and still feel he has all of our horse's best interest at heart. If you get the chance to spend time with him and his lovely wife Dayna..consider yourself lucky. The rest is, as I say, " miles behind me on a different trail"

I am currently letting my horse rest before 5 days of riding in the Sierras with girlfriends. Have you ever been excited about showing your favorite trails to friends through who's eyes you get to see it for the first time??? Alpine lakes, aspens, cool crisp mornings high above Lake Tahoe...ride, really, ride...:)
