I love my slide-in camper. We got it for a steal. It's old as dirt, but I love it. I prefer an 8 foot camper so the tailgate can close and no worries about an extension hitch. We shower in the trailer with a camping shower and have a portable potty that slides into a cabinet on the floor of the camper.

I will say the best thing we ever did was buy a used Chevy 3500 dually. This helps SO much to stabilize the truck, especially in windy conditions and with semis whipping past.
