I read on the AERC Forum, "Both horses dead at scene".  :(

I am surprised that they staged a finish line with the run out onto a 
road and then failed to have any traffic control on the road.  Just 
inexperience?



I have to reiterate what Joe said.  We don't know enough details at this point 
to make any such assumptions, and we should not be pointing fingers.  This is a 
tragedy that could occur in many different circumstances, and we need to 
concentrate more on prayer and encouragement for all those involved.
