[RC] Terrified - Spottedracer

I'm terrified that today is the day that I may lose my Mother.

She's a vibrant lady in her early 60's, that with the exception of controlled Rheumatoid, appeared to be the picture of health. She went in for a simple office procedure yesterday, and ended up in ICU on a ventilator. Half of her heart is not functioning, she's unresponsive and goes into convulsions every time they try to bring her out of Anesthesia.  After several Cardiograms, the doctors suspect she may have previously  had one or more 'mini heart attacks' - which to women feels like heartburn and rarely gets diagnosed and treated.

It's hard seeing my 'ol Navy man Father breaking down. He's only done it once - when my kid brother died. Although I went and helped him pack her bag for when she comes hope, the fear was palpable.

My young daughter is the typical 8 year old. (sad smile) after crying about grandma, she cried about the fact that her first AERC ride (BSF) is pretty much cancelled.

The adult family members go to the hospital this morning. They will try again to let her wake up.

Pray...
