[RC] Old Horses and weighing decisions - k s swigart

It is time. No. It is past time.

How does anyone ever bring themselves to do this?

Personally, the way _I_ bring myself to do "this" is to recognize that
if I don't, and don't do it soon, it will go from being "time" to being
"past time."

For me, "if they are in too much pain or discomfort to enjoy life," then
it is PAST time to have let them go.

Personally, I would rather be too early than too late. I would rather
they enjoy life to the very end. I don't want to wait until their life
is miserable to end it.

I consider a shorter but happy life to be preferable to a long miserable
one.
