Re: [RC] National Champion - Why not? - D'Arcy Demianoff-Thompson

Okay, so what I am understanding is the whole
opposition to having one National Champion would be
the weight division issue? Forgive me since I am new
to all of this. I am guessing that the thread for all
of this might be on the archives? I'll check that out
first so as not to rehash old agenda.

Off the top of my head then if they weight issue is
what prevents a nucleus of opinion and decision making
then we are at a stalemate aren't we?

At the present I am in the heavyweight class. It is
not a class I particularly care to be in it just is.
However, I don't think it is overall good for my horse
to keep carrying that weight for long distances for a
sustained period of time and/or number of years. So,
I think, for me, the obvious choice is to loose
weight. And now I have even more of an incentive,
don't I?

Now, I recognize that is not an option for everyone!
So, what other alternatives are there? Given all of
the knowledge base on this list there must be some
compromise that can be reached. Is Truman's
compromise reasonable under current guidelines? If
so, what does it take to get implemented?
