[RC] Santa Fe Ride and Refunds - Lynne Glazer

I have heard directly from people who have had to withdraw from this ride that ride management has not refunded their money--ANY of their money despite much attempt at contact. Months ahead of the event, not recent withdrawals.

AERC has no policy about ride management and refunds. Perhaps we should. Retaining a small amount for admin PITA is certainly understandable.

I just heard that ride management may do refunds AFTER the ride. Well, IMO, they had better be paying prevailing interest rates to those poor riders who are funding their show. That's just heinous, and completely lacks class.

Some local friends who are on a team and they can't go, but they hope their team spots are filled and that they'll get their money back that way--but those are not the folks of whom I speak.
