Re: [RC] Right and Left Brain (Parelli thread) - Kathy Mayeda

I agree a lot with what you said because Drako can go between "right brain" and "left brain" behaviour in the Parelli context within matter of seconds.  But there is still a lot of literature about right brain being the artistic side and the left brain being the rational side...

They have charted their horses "horsenality" in the latest Savvy Magazine, and none of their horses fall simplistically in any one quandrant.  It is just a tool that they are exploring to come up with some solutions that may be more appropriate for that particular horse.   Like a dull left brain horse would need more stimulation and the right brain horse would need less stimulation.  I don't think that they are claiming that it is that simplistic.

Subject: [RC] Right and Left Brain (Parelli thread)

Remember that the right and left brain (human and horse among others) are connected by the corpus collosum which is a broad, thick band running from side to side and consisting of millions and millions of nerve fibers.  Unless one has agenesis (inability of the nerve fibers to form) or unless the CC is cut, the right and left brain are in constant communication.  The brain is a mighty bunch of matter.  Discussing it in such simple terms as right and left is, IMHO, unrealistic and unscientific.
