Ya think we can turn the tables on the animal rights activists some how? The public needs all the information. Now we have all of these unusable animals that are going to be left to starve as no one can afford to feed them? How can we help? Any ideas? Beccy

WE used to have slaughter plants in most states.  It we nice to be able to haul a horse that was no longer useful to the local plant 10 or 20 miles away with little trauma to the horses.  The animal rights people shut these local "houses" down in the 90's.  Now the horses have to endure long crowed hauls without feed or water.  It is much LESS humane and terribly short sided.

I had mentioned this a month or so ago but why don't we have humane slaughter in every state? It would make so much more sense. I have no problem with slaughter of animals that need to be put out of their misery, just the way that they have to travel to have it done. Beccy
