Re: [RC] re: minerals/salt - april

north east Mississippi, about a mile off the cold water river. We have a well. They had to go 150ft to stop bringing up sand. 58 degrees year round, never runs dry. If you come to City Slickers let me know and I will bring you a jug. :o)

Wow, April, where do you live?  Our well water is so hard that drops dry minerals on the sink.  I'm sure we are all corroding inside, horses and people.

I haven't finished the thread yet so maybe somebody beat me to it, but no one has said anything about the mineral content of their water yet.  City water or well water, there is usually some mineral content. Since we moved our water is so soft if foams itself.  It leaches minerals out of the pipes. I can't stand to drink water anywhere else anymore. Showering when I travel makes me feel dirtier than before I get into the shower.
My horses destroy mineral blocks ! They go threw at least 2 mineral blocks for every salt block.
With the heat, I have been mixing elites in water in a side bucket. They are draining it dry before they start on the regular water.
