Jody,
   I did the Big Horn 50 this year and went through the canyons and
didn't feel that the trail was very narrow and I hadn't ever been in
the mountains before.  It was extremely beautiful but not narrow
enough to cause any concern for me.  Unless there are more or
different canyons than what this year's 50 miler did then I don't
think you should have a problem.
