Re: [RC] Tevis Webcast Update - TypeF \(Jackie Floyd\)

Oh gee, thanks .... one more thing to do :) Seriously, I don't think there's any way I could do that. All the webpages are built out of a database, on the fly a half a dozen times an hour. And the rider start list changed so much on ride day, it was ridiculous. I couldn't believe how many people signed up to ride that very afternoon. To my knowledge, an Access database doesn't have anywhere to link to a website page, but then, I'm not well versed on Access, only know enough to be dangerous. But it's an intriguing idea. I, myself, only looked up one horse during the race. Curiosity got the better of me. :)

Seriously, thanks for the comments. The WSTF BOG loves to hear all the feedback.

:) Jackie

I think it's a tribute to your team that I got a call Saturday morning
from a friend who was crewing at Tevis asking me (in Georgia) to please
keep up with where their riders were and let them know. :-) As the day
went on I also told them what was going on at the front of the pack. Info
which they were passing on to others around them. You guys did an
*amazing* job. I had about 5 windows open on my computer...the map, the
"query your rider", a couple of vet checks and the AERC rider/horse
records page. Very interesting to check the records of the horses up
front (any way you can link them next year? >eg<) . My computer was way
too slow to enjoy the photos (I'll check them out when school starts) but
even with dial up, I felt like I was watching the race as it happened.
Thanks to everyone involved!
