I just bought 1" English biothane stirrups straps. Don't remember where I bought them. I've had them for awhile. Might have been these. http://www.bigdweb.com/BIOTHANE_LEATHERS_P2677.cfm

I bought coolback covers from Australian Connection to keep my legs from pinching.

Using 1" leathers allowed me to pull the stirrups back a little bit and get my feet under me better. I use an Abetta endurance saddle (wide QH tree).

You can get 2" wide leathers, too. I think SporTack carries some that could be used.
