Re: [RC] [RC] Non-pacing TWH Bloodlines?? - Nancy SturmOkay - I'm riding for a third season of occassional limited disrtance on a TWH gelding. My own physicel limits may keep us from moving up. We'll see. If you go back far enough, he has Midnight Sun, Merry Go Boy, Merry Boy and Curlee's Spotted Allen on his pedigree. I suspect he was bred for the showring, but he's a tough little 14.3 h machine, probably doesn't weigh 900 lbs. He has NO pace in him, but (BLASPHEMY!) I do allow him to trot when he gets tired of racking. We train with a group who all ride Arabs. His recoveries to pulse criteria are usually a little slower than the Arabs, but he's come in 10th twice, after several rides dedicated to schooling.
