This was my wildest dreams...after 12 years of Endurance riding and close to 3000 miles I could of never imagined I would be blessed to have such horse to do what Sofie did at such an incredible ride. I am still getting goose bumps when I relive the moment I realized I really did have the win and then to top it off with Best Condition is still just a dream!! I guess the "Karma" for me not completely going off on the cocky sheriff for stopping me for going over the yellow line - twice - helped my day on Saturday. Jim and Rich, you were a delight every time I saw you Saturday. Joanne, so sorry you were sick. But thanks to you for helping me change my horse info at the last minute when again...something from above told me to bring Sofie. My parents are up in those beautiful heavens and a favorite horse too and boy did I "talk" to them on Saturday!! Sofie is such a special little mare as she was born into my husbands arms - from our favorite mare who is now 31 years young. Mike and I are the only ones that have trained and conditioned Sofie so she is truly our "baby". Again, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,Thank you ....... Hope to see you next year! If you can get away come to our Gold Country Endurance Ride on July 14th. Our club puts on a fantastic ride and Joanne, I promise there will be no frog issues in the creeks!! Hugs & kisses to all...
