[RC] feed - Bermuda grass - Rusty Toth

Living here in the desert of Arizona Bermuda grass hay is by far the most
affordable (if your not feeding alfalfa) and available hay around. I was
horrified when I first set my eyes on it after moving here from Vancouver
where Timothy is cheap and easy to find. I fed it (Bermuda) without
complication for the last few years but have recently started feeding
Orchard/Timothy mix hay. It is more costly per bale but I have discovered
the horses coats all look better and they have turn into easy keepers. They
look better, feel better and I am feeding less... hmmm.

I continue to feed some Bermuda but only for the chew factor and feed the
good stuff with better results for the "meals".

This is of course my experience only and many feed Bermuda with good
success. I find it wastefully (the flakes always fall apart and I end up
throwing away a ton) and much like feeding air.
