If we all just receycled aluminum cans and cardboard, just think of 
how much waste we could prevent from filling land fills!

Never one to miss a chance to burst someone's bubble I must relate these
facts I recently read:

A study from the National Wildlife Federation study showed that recycling
one hundred tons of newspaper produces forty tons of toxic sludge. 
Thirteen of the 50 worst Superfund hazardous waste dumps were once
recycling facilities.

"Add to that that 87% of all paper stock comes from trees which are grown
as a crop specifically for the purpose of paper production. Acting to
conserve trees by paper recycling is like acting to "conserve corn" by
cutting back on corn consumption".  Jerry Taylor of the Cato Institute
