[RC] Chrystal's Horse :now how to get a horse tojump out of a moving trailer - Katrina Mosshammer

I remember one year when we went to a ride and had something like that happen. Back then we had a 16 ft BP stock trailer, which had a calf door on the back and single divider that was the width of the trailer that divided it in half. When we left home mom's little 14.2 arab was in the back and my 15.1 anglo was in the front. We pull into camp after dark and we get to the back of the trailer and the calf door is wide open and no horse in the back. Mom FREAKED out! So we frantically go to get my horse out so she can take the trailer and go see  if she can find him on the side of the road. (note: the arab is an, almost black, bay) We pull my anglo out and lo and behold there he is hiding in the front of the trailer. Somehow he manage to get over the center gate, which only has about 2.5 ft clearance from the roof, without a scratch on him. Rode the ride the next day with out any problems. Now we always tie our calf door with a rope as well :-)

Unbelievable - soooo glad your mare is doing ok and hope you get to doing ok too!  I've seen a 1500 lb horse climb into the mangers of a small CM Circuit Champ 2 horse BP trailer.  It's utterly amazing and terrifying what they can squeeze their bodies through!
