[RC] Haf pads - dislikes? - Dream Weaver

Anyone who has tried the Haf pads under their saddle NOT like them? You =
can e-mail direct if you wish. Thinking about making a change from my =
Supracor.

Jonni - I had the HAF pad rub some spots (mainly shortened the loin area hairs) on Chief at Cuyama and I think it was because I didn't have it secured well on the saddle. I just used it all 5 days at Schellbourne and neither Chief (150 miles) or Tigger (100 miles) had any rubs. I use two small caribbeaners that I poke through the front of the pad edge and clip to the D's on the front of the saddle. It keeps it in place well for rides that have a lot of hills (like Cuyama, or Schellbourne), and when I get them attached right it works. I've used that same pad for at least a couple thousand miles of competition now and it's the only pad that I like better than a woolback. I wasn't sure if I had worn the pad out (at Cuyama), but now I think I just had not attached it to the correct D-rings to keep it forward enough for that one ride. I need to get another one. If I had a dislike on this pad it would just be that you need to have it secured well to your saddle, so that if you are doing multidays you don't have it move around and cause any rubbing. It does stay cool, and doesn't "gain weight" like some pads do.
