RE: [RC] [RC] Freeform saddle pads ? - Ranelle Rubin

Kyle,

I suggest you contact Candace Kahn or Chris Martin for specific clarification, but it is my understanding the HAF pad's open cell foam core is designed to offer the proper amount of support under the saddle, as well as provide the relief necessary for the saddle to remain out of contact with the horse's spine. I have two Freeform saddles for my horses, and feel a wool pad would not work quite as well. You can order a HAF pad with a wool lining if it is the wool against the horse you desire.

You can reach Candace at Action Rider Tack. She and Chris are great to work with.

Can you use wool pads with freeform saddles? I've been using HAF pads and I know that's usually what they sell them with.

Does it offer enough support, etc.? I'd like to maybe use one of the Toklat
Woolback pads. It seems to me they would offer more cushion?

Kyle
