[RC] Hi Ties vs Spring Ties - Becky Hackworth

I was leaning toward the Spring Tie until I realized my ladder was in the way.  So I got the HiTie's due to them being able to mount "up and down"

The guys at the trailer manufacturer gave me a great tip on how to mount stuff on a smooth sided trailer (if it has steel supports) and that was to use a magnet!  I put a swatch of polar fleece under the magnet and slid it around until it stuck!  Works better than any "stud finder" I have ever used in the house!  All of my old trailers are of the stock type and had exposed studs.....pretty easy to find.   I put in 2 HiTies and additional tie ring along with bucket hangers and hay bag hangers.

Karen's link I found by "googling"  HiTies, and the comparison page came out.  Very informative.
