In this sue happy day and age anytime you say or do
something that affects another person you become
legally liable. One can always find a lawyer to file
even the most frivolous lawsuit

A few years back NATRC was involved in a lawsuit and the plaintiff went after the steward, reportedly citing the medieval definition of the steward [of an estate] as being responsible for *everything*. The defense was successful, but NATRC changed the name of the job to Rules Interpreter, to make the name more closely match the duties.
