I don't know about the Flea & Tick Dip.

As for the fly spray, I use Pyranha fly spray, which is pyrethrin  
based.  It works very well, but I am careful not to get it in places  
like under the girth area or other hot, constricted placed.  Did that  
once, and my horse's skin got very irritated.  It's fine for legs and  
places that are not under tack.
