My God John! Things are getting to be more sophisticated and more expensive .Initiaaly thought this could be the new user friendly HRM without wires but cannot be so when everyone using the same brand .The new timing system we used earlier in our Penn YDSM ride cost us a bomb .Now this one but appear more sophisticated .Probably useful in the French setting where the numbers taking part run over a hundred.
But endurance in rural France is a religion !That is why they are soo good .UAE,Bahrain ,Belgium are all French clone s .

The neck bands are part of the timing system (they lay a sensor on the ground and it's all automated from there - real time results (even to the net:)
