[RC] Mongolian Horses - sherman

And people are still assumed to be “good”. When you are traveling in the country and need a place to stay or some food, it is expected that everyone will welcome you, feed you, give you a place to sleep for the night. Baagii said he’s heard recently of one incident where someone was robbed when they opened their home to travellers, but it is a rare event.

I have more pics of Baagii’s cousins on horses and a renegade horse no one has ever been able to catch (one of his grandman’s herd). If anyone wants to see, email me & I’ll send them to you.

If anyone wants to see a good documentary of modern, rural life in Mongolia,
see CAVE OF THE YELLOW DOG.  It's by an award-winng female Mongolian director
and follows one nomdaic family.  Not so much about horses, although the 5 yo
daughter goes out all day, every day on her pony to tend the goat herd.  How
many 5 yo olds here can/would do that?  How many parents would let them?
