Re: [RC] When people ask - Lynne Glazer

You know what?? With the exception of Ginger's post, IMHO this last week's worth of discussions have been the most civil EVER.? From the 30 minute proposal to the Great Santa Fe ride advice, it's been amazingly free from personal attacks or OneSizeFitsAll, or bragging (that's something we don't see all that often, also JMO).? So cool to read real discussions rather than ad hominem barbs.?

This is as good as it gets, in other words.? ?Sure, there are people here who seem to chime in when they have not been to many rides and/or have experience in other horsey areas, but I welcome the diversity.? Just keep in mind that there are literally *thousands* of subscribers, not just in other regions but worldwide, and think about how the tone of our written words will come off to others.? And whether you really need to post as often.? :-)

Lynne
whose personal quota is up today...oooh, but what about the vendor dealie!? OK, below ;-)

I think the reason Ginger went off on you,ll is because some of you so called experts come off as know it alls with bragging rites, that can be annoying and not very helpful. Some people are better than others at knowing how to share knowledge without being insulting. Most of the time the olny way to learn is by making mistakes. Like wearing jeans instead of tights, after you rip your skin off you won,t feel silly in tights anymore. It,s like being a teenager, can,t tell them anything. Live & learn & hope the poor horse survives. jvm
