[RC] Boots or Pads for Thin Soles - Kristen A Fisher

Hi all -

I am riding a horse right now that has 11mm soles [vs the std 15mm per the vet] and her feet are fairly flat. I'd like to take her to a ride that we typically pad for, but don't know whether it would be better to use pads on her or foamed on Easy Boots. Her feet are somewhat flat as well as thin soled, so somehow the idea of a pad [ie boot] on the outside of the shoe seems better to me, but then the foam will have contact with the sole.

Thoughts?
