Re: [RC] easy up buckles - Laney HumphreyIt's too bad that you had such a frustrating introduction to the Up buckles. Tell easycare about the frayed cable! They were having fraying problems with quite a few and want to know about them. (I don't work for the company so I have no idea whether they will replace the cable for you.) I'm a total cable adjustment klutz and that's part of the reason why I never used the original easyboots but even I have found I can deal with the Up buckle adjustment except when my hands are freezing cold. I use my hoofpick. The boots don't have to be cranked down tight on Epics because of the gaiters but they do have to be moderately tight. On my horse I've ended up using higher hooks on one side than the other to get just the right amount of tightness (is that a word?!)Laney Kathleen A. I found the adjustment hard to make compared to the regular buckles. I was going to try them some more but discovered the cables were almost frayed in half after only doing part of a 50 so I put the regular buckles back on the boots. They didn't work for me so back to the regular buckles with cotter pins to keep them from coming up.
