[RC] Easyboots too tight - k s swigart

Karen Lynd said:

Question for easyboot users - have you ever
put an easyboot on too tight? I didn't think that
was possible,

Yes, it is possible to put easyboots on too tight and I have done it.
After standing overnight in them after the first day of the Rocky
Mountain ride by horse was quite lame. I pulled his easy boots and took
him home. When he got of the trailer when we got home he was no longer
lame, but he did have bruises (white feet) on the SIDES of his hoof
walls just behind where the clamps go that were the same width as the
heel strap of the boots...and had stripes just like the ribs of the heel
straps.

On another horse, I have had the horse start stomping her feet and
complaining about two hours after I put the easyboots on, and she quit
doing so the instant I loosened them.

In neither of these instances was it because the heel strap came up on
the heel bulb.
