[RC] re: FEI stuff - Cindy Collins

Reading this quote below, Steph.? I think "this" is when I really became turned off of the whole international/FEI scene.? This one thing had the biggest impact on me.? To me, it changed the entire meaning/focus of the sport as I know it.? Not that I haven't gone way too fast in my 26 years, cause I definitely DO live in a glass house :)? I just hope I've learned something over time.

"And to the FEI folks in charge at the time 'advanced' meant 'fast' and they came up with the requirement that horse and rider complete a 100miler at no slower thatn 12km/hr - a 13:22 ride time. That was pretty much what started swinging the trend from technical (Tevis type) rides to flat rides."
