[RC] Trailer manger screen question -- to zip or not? - Beth Leggieri

Thanks to those who replied about trailer screen sources.  I have located one for my two-horse side-by-side bp:

Since these can be custom made, I now must decide whether to keep the zipper style or not, which has precisely caused my problems to begin with--anxious horses shoving  their heads against the zippers, stripping them, and then poking their long Arab necks outside the windows as we zoom down the road.  Once they figure out how to do that, forget it.  And with summer coming, it's just too hot to close the doors to the manger windows.

Is there any reason I would NOT want to order the zipperless style, apart from the slight inconvenience to me while snapping and unsnapping their panic ties (assuming I can stick my arm between the mesh trailer screen and the wall to do so)?

Thanks for any observations,
Beth in Texas
