Re: [RC] shoes for rider//Corrected Stats - Beverley H. Kane, MD

Title: Re: shoes for rider//Corrected Stats
Looking back at the shoe article in Endurance News:
It was Nov ‘05, not ‘06.
It was pretty much 1/2 and 1/2, running/trail/court shoes and endurance shoes.

Stats were:

N = 83,
58% trainers (running shoes), trail runners, or tennis (court) shoes
55% “endurance shoes.” Of these
     62% (34% of N) Ariat Terrains
13% hiking boots
5% “cowboy” boots
6% other

Many people listed more than one type so % is >100

I’ve been wearing the Roper Athletic Horseshoe for about 5 or 6 years now. I keep one “good” pair for general wear and a “beat up” pair for riding. They used to be sold at our local farm supply, but now I can only get them by special order or online.
