So if you have a horse that can do a 16 kph average
in the 2008 WEC you have a horse made in heaven.
I would do a DNA testing ,it may be a leopard in disguise !

I have a horse like that, although the DNA test may show that she is a
deer or a gazelle in disguise. She is small (13.1 hh) petite (~600 lbs
on her heaviest day) and riding her is like sitting on a fence rail.

She has a long skinny neck, a narrow body, and is so small through the
body that for my western saddle I buy the shortest pony girth available
(12") and even then I have to cinch it all the way up. Her surface area
to body weight ratio is probably less than half that of most horses.

Her ability to dissipate heat despite the fact that she has carried more
than 35% of her body weight in endurance rides is probably the biggest
explanation that her HR "recovers" to criteria faster than many other
horses in the ride, despite the fact that she has a resting HR of 52.

The hard part is that fence rail thing :).
