generally, ride management will provide a way to get crew bags to/ 
from an out check. In the case they don't you have to talk around to  
your fellow riders and send stuff out with them.

As to how to handle hay/grain/water issues at the hold w/o a crew;  
you've got to organize that yourself when you pull in to the hold  
(and pack up b/f you leave:).

sometimes when there are multiple out holds, you have to have more  
than 1 set of crew bags b/c RM generally can not insure that your  
stuff will be moved from the first to the second (or subsequent)  
holds in time.
